We're Kate and Austin Bayne. Glo Foods is our family business, and our two girls are right in the middle of it.
Our life moves between the mountains and the islands: winters in the snow, summers in the salt water. Wherever we land, the same things come with us. Spirituality, family, health, meaningful work and plenty of play.
We call our girls our cubs. They're the reason we care so much about what goes into everything we make, and the reason Glo exists at all.
We wanted a treat we could feel good about, so Kate made one.
Kate has cooked our everyday food from scratch for years. When she found that marshmallows could be made with just maple syrup and grass-fed gelatin, they became a staple in our house: in morning coffee, in cocoa, on the trail, by the fire.
We'd never seen one like it on a store shelf. So we started making them in small batches, with six simple ingredients you can read out loud.
Clean, simple, timeless food. Food that fuels you, and food that's fun.
We think a treat can be both. Glo takes a nostalgic candy, the one you toasted as a kid, and makes it with ingredients that actually nourish you: organic maple instead of refined sugar, and grass-fed gelatin, a natural source of collagen.
It's food you can feel good handing your kids. Food that fits into real life and complements it, from the lunchbox to the latte, instead of something you have to work around.
We're always finding new ways to use them, and we hope you will too.
How Glo shows up on a normal day with us.
Glo is named after our daughter, born in a sunlit home birth. Her name is our reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment.
